Dr. Lariann Baretta graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After graduation she completed a one-year internship at VCA Emergency and Referral Hospital in San Diego where she obtained additional training in medicine, surgery and critical care. She worked at a small animal general practice hospital and a multi doctor emergency hospital in Northern California until moving to Paso Robles. Her special interests include ultrasonography, internal medicine (especially chronic diseases) and oncology.
Her undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Ecology at UC Irvine. Between obtaining her undergraduate degree and starting veterinary school she worked primarily in wildlife biology and travelled in Alaska and Central America.
Dr. Baretta is an avid cyclist and participates with her husband Bill in multiple charity bike rides throughout the year. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the central coast on foot or bike, road trips and spending time with her husband and their two standard poodles Holly and Ajax.
