MAGGIE WAGNER, DVM

Dr. Maggie Wagner graduated from UC Davis School of Medicine in 1989. Prior to attending veterinary school she received a degree in biochemistry from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and was one of the fortunate Poly graduates to be able to return to the Central Coast and make it her home.

When writing her narrative for admission to vet school she stated that she wanted a profession where she could work with and help people in a direct and positive way. That combination of affection for both animals and their human counterparts made veterinary medicine an obvious career choice.

Dr. Wagner co-owned a veterinary practice in the South County for many years and now is very happy to be a part of the Las Tablas Animal Hospital family, doing what she loves best – helping pets and their people.

Dr. Wagner is an avid collector of cactus and other succulents, and is a volunteer at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden. She is also a ceramicist who loves to create unique planters as well as functional pottery. Favorite activities are cooking for friends, camping and hiking with her 3 dogs.
