Rattlesnake season is fast approaching! As the weather gets warmer, snakes will become more active, and there’s a good chance you’ll encounter one basking in the sun when you’re out walking with your best friend.
Rattlesnake bites are extremely dangerous and can be deadly if not treated immediately. The good news is that dogs can be trained to steer clear of these slithery creatures. That’s what our Rattlesnake Avoidance Dog Training Class is all about.
We’ll be holding the class on Sunday, May 16 at our clinic. The cost is $95 per dog and the course will cover the same ground as the ones we’ve held in the past, but with a slightly different structure to minimize human-to-human contact.
We’re making these changes in compliance with our COVID-19 protocols:
- The trainers take the dogs and train them while you wait in your car or parking lot.
- No one is allowed in the hospital during the training.
- Registration and payment will be completed online.
To register, visit the animaliaherp.com website and be sure that “Templeton – Las Tablas Animal Hospital” is selected on the right side of the page as your service provider. Then, navigate through the calendar to select May 16 as the class date.
There are only a few spaces left and these classes fill quickly, so register today. If you have any questions or trouble registering for the class, call us at (805) 357-9308.
